Co-founded by Aman Gupta and Imran Shafqat, Thingtrax’s journey started in 2015 at a Cisco and University College London accelerator.
Today, our software runs on thousands of machines across hundreds of sites for our global clients, including some of the world’s most innovative manufacturers.
Beyond the features and functionality of the Thingtrax platform, our offering is driven by two very important factors: our people, and our approach.
Our team brings decades of real-world manufacturing experience. From the production of plastics, chemicals, and food to navigating fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and high mix low volume (HMLV) environments.

Co-Founder
With more than 10 years experience specialising in solution architecture, agile methodologies and business analysis at IBM and Microsoft, Aman co-founded Thingtrax, after the idea emerged from a family manufacturing business.
Aman has a Master’s in Computer Application from the Institute of Management Technology of Ghaziabad in India.
CTO & Co-Founder
Imran has over 10 years of experience leading enterprise software development at National Bank, Kuwait, the Supreme Court, UK and Rolls Royce. Co-founding Thingtrax, as CTO and Cloud Architect, Imran brings extensive experience in designing and delivering large-scale mission-critical, high-impact business solutions.
Imran has a BSc in Computer Science from Hamdard University in Karachi.
CEO
With over 13 years of expertise in developing multinational, high-growth technology enterprises, Paul is a seasoned professional in the field. His extensive experience includes serving as CEO and COO for venture capital-backed startups, including Mind Foundry and Wayin.
Paul holds an Honours BA from the University of Waterloo and a postgraduate Masters from the Said Business School at the University of Oxford.
VP, Finance
Ciaran has worked with Thingtrax since December 2020 and also supports other SuperSeed portfolio investments. He has advised over 100 start-ups and fast-growth businesses and his work and impact lead him to be named CFO/Finance Director of the Year at the British Accountancy Awards 2019.
VP, Sales
Richard has over 10 years of experience selling software solutions including ERP systems and SaaS into process manufacturing businesses with a particular focus on the food and beverage sector. Richard was Sales Manager at Infor, focusing on the manufacturing sector.
VP, Services
Over 20 years’ experience in managing multi-location teams including Professional Services, Development, Support, and Technical Services. Prior to joining Thingtrax, I led a multinational services team for Aptean, covering the Retail ERP market for both SaaS and on-premises software. Previous experience with Aptean in the Wholesale ERP market and Sanderson Group Plc in the Manufacturing ERP market. Worked with businesses ranging from start-ups to large UK PLCs.
VP, People
Chris has 13 years of Executive Search experience, supporting high growth, investor backed technology businesses in building high performance teams. His industry focus has been around industrial, manufacturing and supply chain related technologies. Chris has a BSc (Hons) from the University of Bath.
VP, Marketing
With 10 year’s experience developing growth strategies in tech. Mark is passionate about innovation, creating best-in-class experiences, and building successful teams.
Director of Industry Solutions
Allan joined Thingtrax in 2021, bringing with him a wealth of experience in continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma practices. With over 16 years of professional experience, Allan has held Continuous Improvement leadership roles with several companies, including LINPAC Packaging, Aimia Foods Ltd., and Nice-Pak International.
